The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a plan to occupy 15,073 public service openings.
The Department of Government Information claims that the Cabinet approved the application of the recommendations of the Committee assigned to evaluate the personnel management and public service recruitment process in Sri Lanka.
Through two recommendation reports, the Committee of Officers appointed under the direction of the Secretary to the Prime Minister reviewed the recruitment process in the public service and personnel management recommended recruitment for 15,073 vacancies in 18 line ministries, four provincial councils and two special expenditure units.
The Cabinet of Ministers has thus approved to implement the suggested recruitment guidelines in those reports.
