How to Apply for Disaster Relief Educational Assistance for Students

School students who have been affected by floods, landslides, or any other disaster are eligible to receive Rs. 25,000 from the President’s Fund for educational support.

How to Apply:

1. Get the application form
You can collect the application form from your Divisional Secretariat.
(In some areas, it may also be available at the Grama Sevaka Office.)

2. Fill in the application form accurately
Make sure to complete all required sections, including:

  • Student’s information
  • Home address
  • Date and details of the disaster and damage
  • School information
  • Parent/guardian details
  • Declaration section

3. Submit the completed application to the Grama Niladhari (GN Officer)
After verification by the GN Officer, the application will be sent to the Divisional Secretariat.

4. Approval and payment
Once the application is reviewed and approved, the affected student will receive Rs. 25,000 as financial assistance.
